Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 4:30pm Except on the first Thursday of every month, the Register Office will close at 1pm.
In order to assist us to deal with the registration of births as quickly as possible, we have an appointment procedure. Please call on 020-7527-6350 to book a birth appointment. Births need to be registered within 42 days of the event.
There is a walk in service for Deaths only, you should be seen within 30 minutes of turning up. Please note that between 12pm - 2pm there may be a longer waiting period.

A new National Births and Deaths Registration system was introduced in the Register Office in March 2007. This means that Birth and Death Registers are no longer written by hand. Instead, this information is now held on a central online database.
